Slade has served the Arbiter's will for ten years, four as the Grandmaster after Harbinger Levithuun retired from the position after a vicious encounter in southern Ironfrost.  Much of his past is shrouded in mystery, even to those closest to the Arbiter.  His assignments have been carried out with brutal efficiency, those within the inner circles of the Arbiter's domain have critized his means, but none can question his results.

Among the Arbiter's minions, his martial prowess is unsurpassed and his capacity and mastery of the Galefire is astonishing.  Some say his power stems from the ancient, archaic suit of Teknomajik armour he wears, others claim the power he weilds comes from whatever lies beneath his bandaged arm.   Only the Arbiter could comfim or deny any of these claims, for he may be the only one who has seen beneath the bandages.
